PRESS RELEASE: Eight Shootings In Seven Days - The Delco DA Stollsteimer's Policies Have Created

Media Borough, PA - Beth Stefanide, candidate for Delaware County District Attorney, issued the following statement:

"Between August 14th and August 21st, we witnessed eight shootings in Delaware County - over one per day. It shocks the conscience to realize that this is the Delco in which we are living.

DA Stollsteimer has absolved himself of responsibility for the 3 years of consecutive increases in crime on his watch. It speaks volumes that he has nothing to say in light of one of the most violent weeks in county history.

Three years of ideological, out-of-the-mainstream, soft-on-crime policies have led to a more dangerous county for all of us. A District Attorney should be primarily focused on one thing: keeping people safe. DA Stollsteimer is focused on many things, but he has failed to stop the violence destroying lives and communities.

If your mechanic kept doing the same thing and your car broke down more, wouldn't you find a different mechanic? If your doctor kept doing the same thing and you kept getting sicker, wouldn't you find a different doctor?

Our county has gotten more dangerous while our DA has advocated the same failed policies and absolved himself of the consequences. Delco - it's time for a new District Attorney."
