PRESS RELEASE: Drexel Hill Shoprite Opens, Representing the Development Delco Needs

Drexel Hill, PA - Jeff Jones, candidate for Delaware County Council, issued the following statement:

“I had the honor of being at the opening of the new Drexeline ShopRite this past weekend. After 7 years of intense pushback and challenges from the Upper Darby and Delco Democrats, the building was finally unveiled and opened to the public.

The most crucial element of governing is offering people opportunities to have the resources they need to support their families. Economic development creates jobs and supermarkets sustain communities. This redeveloped space enhances the economic vitality of Delco and represents the kinds of improvements I want to champion as a member of Delaware County Council.

County government shouldn’t be making it harder for families to secure the commercial and economic access they need. Elected officials should be in office to lift us up, not hold us back. That is my promise to the working families of Delco when I win this November.”
